The system is designed for handling pallets using lifts and conveyors in two automatic flow lines from shore based warehouse through conveyors direct to the cargo compartment.

The System works in automatic mode, controlled by PLC, using optical image processor to detect ship movement relative to the quay.

When 4 pallets are being placed on the cage, which is lifted up to the entrance door buffer . The pallets are transferred to the buffer and from there to the lift .The lifts take the pallets down/up to the selected deck and convey the pallets to the deck conveyor. The lifts return for new cycle.


The deck stacker crane, located in each of the six decks, takes over a pair of pallets from one of the two deck conveyors, and place them on a defined position just in front of the cargo compartment door. This operation to be carried out from both deck conveyors and lift lines to all of the three compartments doors on each deck.
For discharging mode the process is reversed.
Both transport lines are working independent of each other.
